The department of computer Science of Nasra college of Arts and science was established in the academic year 2012-13. The department aims at implementing innovativeness and technical competence in the students and the courses emphasis on tools to develop software applications rapidly. The department is also providing a wide range of hardware and software facilities for students and faculty members under different platform and processing environments. The department encourages students for peer group teaching, extension activities, startup, app development, web development, projects work , industrial visit/Internship.Faculty and students are exposed to recent technological development through workshops and Seminars . This is an undergraduate programme where students are exposed to various areas of computer applications including the latest developments keeping pace with the industry. The students learn from qualified and experienced Faculty from different areas of expertise, in excellent infrastructural facilities such as Computer Labs, high speed internet connectivity, an updated library. A lot of practical training on various languages is provided to students of Bachelor of Computer Applications to make them more efficient in their career
Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) is an undergraduate degree programme in computer applications. With the rapid growth of IT industry, the demand of computer professional is increasing day by day. This increasing growth of IT industry has created a lot of opportunities for the computer graduates.. The duration of the course is 3 years and divided into 6 semesters. It comprises of the subjects like database, networking, operating systems, data structure, core programming languages like ‘C’ , ‘Java’,’Php’, ‘Python’, ‘Android’, ‘Shell’. This programme provides a lot of opportunities to the students who are interested in computer field and who want to work in the IT sector as programmer or software developer
